How To Use the PetStep Side Door Entry Kit
Position the PetStep Ramp Through the Side Door
Unfold the PetStep ramp and position the ramp through the side door of your vehicle. The top of the ramp should be resting on the backseat. You’ll notice that one edge of the ramp will not be fully supported by the backseat. That is where the Side Entry Support Strap comes in!
Attach the Strap to the Ramp
On one end of the side entry support strap is a small metal hook. Attach that hook into the slot at the top of the ramp. Pull on it to make sure that it is secured in place.
Hook the Strap onto the Vehicle Door
On the other end of the strap is the rubber-coated door hook. Place this over the vehicle door’s window frame.
Adjust the Strap as Needed
The strap is adjustable so that it will fit any vehicle’s side door. Open the clip on the strap to adjust it as needed. The strap should be taught when connected to the ramp and side door. Now the PetStep ramp is held safely in place for your dog to use it for side entry into your vehicle!
