Digestive support is important for helping pets get the most out of their diet, support the gut in times of antibiotic use and afterwards, and give the immune a boost through supporting the microbiome with beneficial species. The microbiome of the gut makes up 80% of the non-native immune system.

Probiotics – Beneficial species of bacteria, yeast and other microbes that colonize in the gut (mostly the intestines) that then provide benefits to the body including converting digested food into nutrients that can be absorbed, pulling toxins through the gut and out of the blood to consume or neutralize them, and keep opportunistic or invasive microbes in check and deactivated or eliminated. Digestive Enzymes – enzymes produced from the mouth, digestive tract and pancreas. They take the food that has been chewed and broken down from gastric fluids into molecular components making it accessible for probiotics to eat, convert and make available for the body to absorb as nutrients. Prebiotic Fiber – a special kind of substance that microbes feed on to grow, colonize and keep a stable population. Usually from plant sources, but collagen from animal foods also act as a prebiotic fiber to many probiotic species in the gut.

Our Pure Digestion formula is a human-grade formula produced in a cGMP facility. The powder is blended in a base of powdered beef liver and blended with other supporting ingredients for the gut such as; pumpkin seed powder, powdered coconut oil, kelp and a touch of turmeric.

Each BPA-free amber jar comes with instructions for how much to give per day and is printed right on the label. The recommendations are based on your pet’s estimated healthy weight range. The formula may be measured by the included BPA-free 8.5cc scoop (which holds about 5 grams of powder), or by teaspoon.

How to Serve

Step 1

Take the formula from the fridge while preparing your pet’s food and ensure the amount to serve based on your pet’s ideal weight range on the label. If just starting this product use half the recommended amount for the first 7 days for an adjustment period to your pet’s diet.

Step 2

Measure the right amount for your pet with the included BPA-free scoop or a measuring spoon then sprinkle right into their daily diet. Once applied, put the formula back into the fridge.

Step 4

Serve with food. Be sure to mix the formula into the food before serving. This helps avoid a potential upset belly, as well as ensures proper digestion and absorption of the nutrients. Can be mixed into water or broth before adding to food for pets sensitive to powder textures.

Be sure to use the formula daily to ensure there is daily consumption of the probiotics and digestive enzymes. Without them in the diet regularly, the gut will not get the extra resources needed for digestion, immune support and bowel support.

Scent/Flavor

Probiotics and prebiotic fiber can sometimes have a slightly sour smell due to the natural fermentation nature of probiotics. With added beef liver powder makes the formula quite tempting for canines & felines alike. Most pets love liver and readily take to its rich savory meaty flavor profile.

Texture

For some cats & dogs, texture is just as important as scent and flavor. We choose to use powder because it easily mixes into wet food and raw. Pets who don’t like powder textures; the formula can easily be mixed into some water or broth before being mixed into the food. Is this glass or plastic? We use all BPA-free plastic for our containers, pumps and scoop. Does this need refrigerated? Yes! We don’t include preservatives and the probiotic cultures are not fermentation product form of probiotics, so once opened and exposed to air it will need refrigerated. Does this smell? Yes! This formula has an earthy meaty scent which comes from the beef liver added to the formula in addition to the fermented sour sort of smell which comes along with probiotics. Most pets and pet owners don’t mind or actually like the scent of the formula. Does it have a flavor? Yes! We blended our formula in a base of powdered beef liver for flavoring needs which most pets love. Both on it’s own but it is also easily combined with other flavored/flavorful additions such as our Wild Omega 3 fish oil. How much do I give per day? We include recommendation amounts based on healthy weight ranges and should be measured out by scoop or a measuring spoon. Pets up to 10lbs should receive 1/4 scoop per day, 11-25lbs is 1/2 scoop per day, 26-50lbs is 3/4 scoop per day, 51-75lbs is 1 scoop per day, 75-100lbs is 1.5 scoop per day, 101lbs and up is 2 scoops per day. Seek your vet’s advice if your pet is underweight, overweight or special needs/requirements. How do I give it? Firstly, this should never be added to your pet’s drinking water. Always measure and mix into food and serve that way. Do not attempt to pour or apply directly by mouth. Where is the expiration date? You can easily find the LOT number and expiration date of your jar on the very bottom of the jar(the side that touches the surface you set the jar down on). It is printed in yellow/olive green ink. What is the shelf life? From the point of manufacturing this product has a shelf life of 2 years up to the point of the printed expiration date. How long until I see benefits? Every pet is different and some problems need different solutions. In most cases pet parents see an improved gut health by the end of the jar when used as directed daily. Other pets take longer, some shorter and some pets need additional support in addition to the digestive blend. A good example is added ox bile if digestive issues are related to digesting lipids.
