There are many nutrients that go into supporting all the tissues that allow the body to move, jump, run, play and bounce around. Many of them are indirectly supportive. Some are abundantly available but play a minor (but still important) role of forming and repairing the soft tissues of the body. Soft tissues are everything that isn’t hard mineralized tissues like bones. Cartilage, Ligaments (like the ACL), Tendons (like the Achilles tendon) and even the disks between the vertebrae of the spine are all examples of soft tissues.

The 4 critical nutrients for soft tissues for both dogs and cats are;

Glucosamine – an amino sugar found in cartilage, synovial fluid (the joint lubricant), and connective tissues, crucial for maintaining joint structure and elasticity. It has minor anti-inflammatory properties by protecting it from enzymes that break down cartilage.

Chondroitin – a glycosaminoglycan found in connective tissues, a key structural component of cartilage that attracts water for elasticity, shock absorption, and lubrication. It has minor anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting enzymes that break down cartilage.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – a natural compound that provides essential bioavailable sulfur needed to form reinforcing bonds between strands of collagen, which is critical for the strength and elasticity of connective tissues like cartilage, tendons, and ligaments.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – a glycosaminoglycan found throughout the body’s various soft tissues (skin, eyes, organs etc) that is essential for tissue hydration, impact and shock absorption to protect tissues during movement, transport nutrients to cartilage & stimulates repair processes for soft tissues. It has mild anti-inflammatory properties by reducing friction plus reducing wear and tear on soft tissues and providing a protective barrier between cartilage and destructive enzymes.

We use purified water as our carrier liquid for the formula. With added vitamins, minerals and herbal extract purified water was the best option to ensure an even emulsion of all nutrients in the formula to be dispensed each press of the pump. NOTE: Because of the water base we have to use special safety seals which has a micronvent in it which often gets mistaken for a hole. This vent safely allows the bottle to adjust to temperature changes and prevent the bottle from bursting open in hotter climates and colder climates. Even if a spritz of the formula comes through this vent, the bottle is still safe to use as this is what the specialized vent is for instead of the whole bottle bursting open. Each BPA-free blue bottle comes with instructions for how much to give per day and is printed right on the label. The recommendations are based on your pet’s estimated healthy weight range. The formula may be measured by the included BPA-free pump (which dispenses 4mL per press), or by teaspoon or measured medicine cup.

Most pets don’t notice the addition of the unflavored version of our premium glucosamine formula but for pets who are super observant and decide they don’t care for the addition, we do offer our Premium Formula with a plant-based bacon flavoring and we still offer our Original Blend which has an Aloe Vera juice base but doesn’t have the added extra nutrients and doesn’t include a pump.

This formula should not be added to a pet’s drinking water and only offered mixed with food. Recommended to use open bottle within 120 days of opening. (Medicine cup in images not included, for display purposes only.)

How to Serve

Step 1

Take the formula from the fridge while preparing your pet’s food and ensure the amount to serve based on your pet’s ideal weight range on the label. If just starting this product use half the recommended amount for the first 7 days for an adjustment period to your pet’s diet.

Step 2

Measure the right amount for your pet with the included BPA-free pump or a measuring spoon or measured medicine cup(not included) then pour right into their daily diet. Once applied, put the formula back into the fridge.

Step 4

Serve with food. Be sure to mix the formula into the food before serving. This helps avoid a potential upset belly, as well as ensures proper digestion and absorption of the nutrients.

Be sure to use the formula daily to ensure there is daily consumption of the Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM and HA. Without them in the diet regularly, the joints and other soft tissues will not get the extra nutritional resources needed for mobility and flexibility.

Is this glass or plastic? We use all BPA-free plastic for our containers, pumps and scoop. Does this need refrigerated? No! We use minimal preservatives, the formula being water based without protein, sugars or fats in it won’t require refrigeration beyond what the preservatives can do. That being said we still use very minimal preservatives to delay oxidation and degredation of the added nutrients, once opened and exposed to air we recommend the product is used up within 120 days of opening. Does this smell? No, most pets and pet owners don’t notice the scent of the formula and is described as odorless. Very sensitive individuals might describe a light vitamin scent that some describe as slightly sour. We don’t do anything to add or remove any scent from the formula and is just as nature makes it. Does it have a flavor? Technically yes, while it is based in purified water, with the added nutrients it may carry a very subtle flavor just from the combination of ingredients, but it is typically described as flavorless. We don’t add any specific flavorings to the formula to provide an option for pickier pets that either hides well in food or is easily combined with other flavored/flavorful additions such as our Wild Omega 3 fish oil. By itself it tastes the way nature made the ingredients. How much do I give per day? We include recommendation amounts based on healthy weight ranges and should be measured out by the pump, a measuring spoon/medicine cup. Pets up to 10lbs should receive 1 pump per day, 11-20lbs is 2 pumps per day, 21-35lbs is 3 pumps per day, 36-50lbs is 4 pumps per day, 50-65lbs is 5 pumps per day, 66-80lbs is 6 pumps per day, 81-100lbs is 7 pumps per day, and 101lbs or more is 8 pumps per day. Seek your vet’s advice if your pet is underweight, overweight or special needs/requirements. How do I give it? Firstly, this should never be added to your pet’s drinking water. Always measure and mix into food and serve that way. Do not attempt to pour or apply directly by mouth even if using an oral dosing syringe due to risk of aspiration. If your pet doesn’t like this formula for whatever reason we do offer our Premium formula (which is water based) with a plant-based bacon flavoring and our Original blend formula too. Where is the expiration date? You can easily find the LOT number and expiration date of your bottle on the shoulder of the bottle between the label and just as it starts to get round. It is printed in yellow/olive green ink. What is the shelf life? From the point of manufacturing this product has a shelf life of 2 years up to the point of the printed expiration date. Once opened however, we recommend using the bottle within 120 days. How long until I see benefits? Every pet is different and some problems need different solutions. In most cases pet parents see an improved mobility by the end of the bottle when used as directed daily. Other pets take longer, some shorter and some pets need additional support in addition to the oil. A good example is for joint support using a fish oil along with a powerful joint support formula with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM & HA at the same time. Better than Fish/Salmon oil? This is a important point to understand. Depending on what the body of the pet needs, sometimes pets need Omega 3 fatty acids for their joint needs. Others need a joint formula with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM & HA. All of these nutrients do different things for the joint and is always best to be used together. How does this help mobility? Glucosamine, Chrondroitin, MSM & HA all work together to support all soft tissues of the body. They help with structure, repair, resiliency, hydration, lubrication, and mild anti-inflammatory support for all joint types in the body and non-joint soft tissues. How does this help stiffness? Stiffness comes from degraded soft tissues that are less elastic, inflamed, swollen and painful. The formula helps the body produce adiquete lubrication (synnovial fluid), protects existing cartilage, and gives the body nutrients to repair damaged joint tissues with. How does this help joint pain? Pain is tough to see, and can come from damage or inflammation. By giving the body concentrated key nutrients that directly get used for joint tissues, the body is better equipped to repair, fortify and maintain joint tissues. Through this process inflammation typically reduces which improves comfort and less pain. How does this help arthritis? Arthritis is painful, it happens when the bones (typically at the joints) degrade and start to form spurs typically in aging pets. These spurs then poke and stab with movement and put extra wear on cartilage. Nothing will cure arthritis, but by giving the body key and critical concentrated nutrients the body uses to repair + form soft tissues like cartilage & synovial fluid can help improve the comfort to pets with arthritis and thus improve mobility efforts by your pet. Will this help with dysplasia? Both elbow & hip dysplasia can be painful. This happens when joints don’t form and match up correctly during development by the age of 2 years old. While nothing can cure this, the body sometimes compensates with soft tissues at the joint. It’s always helpful to give the body concentrated critical nutrients to best support the soft tissues of the body to maintain comfort and support mobility. What if it arrives frozen? During winter, these bottles can sometimes freeze during transport due to being a water based formula. It is very important to let the bottle thaw and come to room temperature BEFORE opening the bottle. This prevents some of the nutrients from crystalizing and settling on the bottom and concentrating at the bottom leading to a risk of over dosing certain trace minerals since the pump straw pulls from the bottom during dispensing. Once thawed to room temp, the bottle is ok to be opened.
